Why a truck as the Lavender & Rose Concessions’ logo? During off seasons when my husband Bob played in the NHL for the Philadelphia Flyers and New York Rangers, he restored a gorgeous red 51 Chevy and two amazing 37’s. These days, we’re content with a truck in our logo.
We live at the edge of Akron NY, fondly dubbing our yard “Akronside.” As the backyard gardens flourished, along with the joy of drying herbs and distilling essential oil from our lavender, I learned the garden yields wonderful skin care products and soaps. And Lavender & Rose Concessions emerged.
Akronside gardens hold a lavender bed (Phenomenal lavender) to the left of the rose garden. My favorite roses are the scented, incredible old world roses. But hardy Texas Earthkind roses are lots easier and just as gorgeous, so they’re all mixed together. Further in, the herb bed overflows with mint, lemon verbena and borage.
