Whimsy

Fairies and gnomes make us smile! And, they are the main characters of our “Whimsy Line.” Now and then, as well, you’ll see a caricature of a favorite classic character, such as Gandalf and Bilbo.

The little friends in the “Whimsy Line” are wool sculptures, crafted through a process known as needle-felting. In this unique type of fiber art, wisps of wool rovings are magically locked into place by stabs of a barbed needle.

Like anything made of wool, our “Whimsy Line” is only friends with humans – never dogs, cats, or moths! You’ll want to be careful with your wool art. You can hang a mobile or fairy, that’s perfect. Characters or animals are so cute tucked into a bookshelf, perhaps Gandalf next to your favorite edition of Tolkien. Or, the Whimsy Line is full of little friends you can hide away in that pretty box to come out when smiles are needed.
